• NCI Shoreham Lookout Station

  NCI watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the NCI ensures that high standards are met.

• Royal Yachting Association

  The Royal Yachting Association is the national governing body for dinghy, motor and sail cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing and personal watercraft.

• RYA Portsmouth Yardstick Scheme

  The Portsmouth Yardstick System aims to handicap boats based on their relative performance against the other boats they race with. Handicaps are allocated and administered by clubs to suit their local factors such as boat type, wind trends and water type as well as enabling the club to evaluate crew skill factor.

• Sustainable Boating (The Green Blue)

  The Green Blue is the joint environment programme developed by the RYA and British Marine. Launched in 2005, its mission is to promote a sustainable leisure marine sector in the UK.

• Sussex Yacht Club

  Founded in 1892, Sussex Yacht Club (SYC) is a members’ sailing club with superb modern facilities. A home to yachts and boats of all sizes, our main clubhouse, extensive boatyard and moorings are on the River Adur and our original clubhouse and locked moorings are inside Shoreham Port itself.

• StolenBoats.org.uk

  StolenBoats.org.uk is the UK’s premier website for reporting stolen marine equipment.

  The site enables registered users to record details of stolen marine equipment with the aim of reuniting items, which are subsequently recovered, with their rightful owners.
