Wayfarer Prenational Warmup
Shoreham Sailing Club are delighted to welcome the Wayfarer fleet to compete at their Prenational Warmup event on 18-19 May 2024.
Come and experience the best sea sailing in the UK. With easy sheltered launching in the harbour and a short sail out to sea, Shoreham is renowned for its wonderful clear waters, fantastic waves and regular sea breeze.
- Entries can be online (entry available below) or on the day
- Camping on site available for a nominal fee
- Free parking
- Dinner from our fabulous caterers Fete & Lime will be available after sailing on Saturday night.
- Bar will be open
The sailing
- Registration will take place in the club house on Saturday 18th May between 10.00 and 12.00 and on Sunday 19 th May between 08.30 and 09.30.
- The scheduled time for race briefings will be: Saturday 18th May not before 11.30; Sunday 19th May not before 09.00.
- The scheduled time of the first warning signal for the races will be: Saturday 18th May not before 13.25; Sunday 19 th May not before 10.25.
- Racing on Sunday 19th will be on the same course as SSC club racing (Wayfarers will have their own start).
- The event comprises of a 5 race series: 3 races on Saturday and 2 races on Sunday.
Safety
- The River Adur, Shoreham Harbour and harbour approaches are a commercial waterway
- Please ensure you are fully conversant with the Shoreham Port Authority General Byelaws and the Shoreham Port General Directions
- Always heed the advice of the Race Committee and Support Boats whether ashore or afloat
